rain at sea ~Jamaica
This is a ten foot wide isolated beach on the West coast of Jamaica called Duncan’s Hole. It’s about three miles North of Little Bay.
I took this photo at the end of September, 2003, looking off the cliffs to the West from the WestEnd in Negril, Jamaica. I made it into a wallpaper and posted it on WinCustomize.com. I called it “Pillar of Light.” I haven’t logged in there for years. It’s the 9th most popular wallpaper of all times there… after nine years.
~Madagascar Periwinkle~ This little flower grows everywhere in Jamaica. I snapped these just a few feet from the cliffs on the WestEnd, where I used to take photos of the sea. It turns out that this plant is used to make Vinchristine. Vinchristine is a super-intense chemotherapy drug that I took four times, many years after I took this photo. It is part of the CHOP protocol used to treat non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
